I was very tempted by that one myself as I have always been a fan of Sei basses. Unfortunately funds did not permit. :(

My loss is your gain though and I am delighted to see it has gone to a good home! :)

Well i don't have a status, but have played steve's many times and am getting one as soon as i can afford...
Here's my humble bass,
Sojing silent bass, (With removable sides:D)
21'fret' Frettless with an inlaid neck
piezo under saddle pickup
Active with 4 band EQ and presence control

It's pretty much a normal bass guitar, i'm going to put a socket in the back though so i can put it on a tripod and play it like an upright, if i feel like itB)

Yep I got it off Wes about 2 weeks ago, i traded my Fender P bass that ive not played for 15 years! Its a lovely bass & nice and light. I just have a bit of trouble at rehearsal with the headstock, not used to having one on the end of the neck....:D and it could do with some green LEDs

The action is good, i had to tweak it a little from how Wes had it set up. What is nice is there is quite a lot of space between the strings & the body so it gives a fair amount of room to get your finger in there when octave pop on the G string.It also has the slimmest neck i have ever played! The Pickups and Preamp are Bartolini, it seems to be the same as the obp3, bass/trebble & switchable mids.

I'll get some pics up of My Custom Funkmeister soon.... I agree what you say about the necks.... Mike does happen to make some real slim one's... I had mine copied from my Thumb 5 so its a lil chunkier than usual...

im getting my first status on thursday... a used stealth 4 string.. i cant wait!

anyway my other basses are as follows

modded fender jazz bass with a status graphite neck, bartolini pickups, badassII bridge, new paint job and a new scratchplate.

musicman stingray 4 string

warwick corvette 5 string

warwick streamer jazzman 4 string

i also own a gibson j45 acoustic

just to update. i got my status stealth today! its a four string, 3 band eq. headed with dtuner, black hardware.. its a beauty.. their is a ding on the neck but its nothing major.. i will post pictures soooon! still have to pay for it!
