Im sure some of you have other Basses / Guitars that are not Statii, so lets see what you play

My other Basses,
homepage.mac.com/editbox/images/basses.jpg
1984 Roland G-77 Bass synth, comes with huge floor unit that has a JX8p synth in it!
Not very practical but good fun and turns heads!
1982 Wal Pro1 Fretless, very nice, the only fretless I would ever want.
1990 Warwick thumb Thru neck, not to everyones taste but I love it
1982 Fender P, cherry sunburst. My first real Bass , sadly not played as much as it should be!

& the Guitars
homepage.mac.com/editbox/images/guitars-all.jpg
1998 Fender Strat, with Roland synth pick up ( i got into guitars synths in the 80s!)
1985 Vox Teardrop reissue, I was told by Rose Morris that only 5 of these & 5 Phantoms were made in that reissue.
1983 Gibson Corvus, doubles as a tin oppener.
Norman Acoustic, hand mane in Canada apparently!

Ok then, here are my others, not quite as many as Tev though. ;)

i3.photobucket.com/albums/y85/chriswright/warwick.jpg

Warwick Fortress fretless. My first fretless and lovely to play. Great balance on the strap as well.

i3.photobucket.com/albums/y85/chriswright/P1260002.jpg

Fender Jazz with J-Retro and Badass II. Another bass that is lovely to play and the J-Retro is a great transparent pre-amp so it retains all the classic jazz tones. It is actually a bit more purple than appears from the photo.

Right then, who's next?

I was going to get one a Spirit XT, but didnt like the one i tried, so I looked at the Honer B2a & that new was the same price as the S3000 secondhand, so I went for the S3000! I still would like a real Steinberg someday...

Love The Jazzman Jassco, is that the woods natural color or is it stained?

Paul has done a really nice job on that Tele. I saw it when I was up at his a while ago and the build quality is excellent.

fretmeister, I love the Teles paul makes, i personally would have it with out the scratch late, but i love the finish. I was trying to talk my guitarist into getting one built, but it was a tad to expensive for him.

Rich, nice collection, good to see another Wal around these parts!

From left to right:
- Yamaha RBX765: my main bass. I love the sound trough my Trace SMX amp.
- Ibanez TRB200LS: my first bass. Upgraded with Seymour Duncan pickups: a SBP2 and a MM style SMB4D instead of a J pup. I also added a on/on/on switch for the MM pup with séries/single/parallel. Hidden in the control cavity another swith allowing to choose which coil of the MM is used in single coil mode.
- Warwick Thumb Maple Monster: all maple (body and neck) thumb bass with SD 5string MM pickup, MEC dual band electronics.
- Status Energy 4 strings, maple/rosewood neck.
- Yamaha TRB5FII: fretless Yam. Sold a while ago.
- OLP MM5 strings: i wanted to put a fretless Status graphite neck on it, but the neck itself would be twice the price of the bass... Now, it's the bass staying right next to my desk. When i hear something cool on the radio, i just stop working and play it unplugged. And then, i go back to work...
- Ibanez BTB406QM: just to try 6 strings. Very nice wide neck.
- Not on this old picture: a Fender Roscoe Beck 5 strings.

Hope you have a big house or a very understanding wife!

That is a very impressive collection you have there. Would be great to see some pictures.

Thanks Chris!

I have a very small house - the basses are spread across the country in various locations! I'm trying to get a camera sorted - my partner also plays bass (and flute) so she understands my addictions! I can kind of justify them as I play bass for a living although the `working' basses are the Statii, the Vigier, the Lakland and the Aria SBR-150. I am talking to a guy in Leicestershire about opening a small bass shop but nothing is for definite (I was a partner in E Basses, building instruments and we came very close to opening a scaled down version of The Gallery here in Peterboro but things did not work out sadly).

Cheers

Not much of a collection left after the Kinbass!

Electric geetar is currently in pieces for some mods on the electonics so I'll leave that out.
Just my humble acoustic then, Avalon dreadnought with Fishman Prefix Plus preamp.
