S2 node on wood: Status Basses

hi, do anyone know if this node in the back of this S2 is bad or not?

i've heard that it could be a problem for the tone...

can anybody make the light about it?

Sorry but I am not sure I understand your question. The bass looks fine to me. Any chance of some closer pictures of what you think the problem is?

Absolutely nothing wrong with that at all.

Rob would never let anything out of the factory in less that 'perfect' condition.

Isn't it part of the grain of the wood? Hard to believe oil would be able to penetrate the lacquer finish unless there is a crack or scratch that goes all the way through. Can't see one in the photo.

this bass is for sale for 1800 euros, i think it's a good deal, isn't it?
