Maybe at some point I'll have it back, but for the time being I've got #538 to console me. I've even had the red led power light added by Rob. Picking it up next week :)

Do any of you have an endorsement of any kind with any company related to bass/ music?

If so, how the heck do you get one?

Media appearances / exposure etc plays a large part in securing an endorsement. Having been a pro-session drummer until three years ago, I had a full endorsement with Zildjian cymbals, and a trade endorsement with Pearl drums for ten years. One of the band's I played for had a lot of they're gigs televised which obviously meant that the equipment I was using got a lot of exposure, hence the endorsements. A mate of mine is endorsed by Warwick, and he has quite a few basses and amps etc.

If a company feels that they're product is being plugged on a large scale then securing endorsements is quite easy. You could be the best player around, but if all your doing is plugging away in your house, and playing local pub gigs then I'm afraid you've no chance.

P.S. Spare me the drummer jokes, I've heard them all!!!!!!!!!!!

What a surprise!! Now how did I guess that as soon as I mentioned the fact that I used to be a drummer, the old Light Bulb joke would rear it's ugly head.

No worries loph, I pretty much half expected it. :o
