P.S. I'm finding the 3G iPhone a tad slower than the original! Might be the 2.0 software upgrade though!

Don't start over the iPhone.... I have to wait untill december...... I can't wait....

Thats a good question. need to make it easy to hear all the tracks in one place.

until that is sorted , here is my first entry, its a track i've been working on, so is still in demo form, needs remixing and some parts re recording by proper musicians (i've done my best on drums, guitar, and keys ).at least now i've got a good reason to finish it!!

i've popped it on my mac gallery with some dodgy photo's , so your not watching a blank screen.

i've called it "whats your Status?'' and the bass is my Black Beauty proto 23.

A couple of those photos look familiar! :D

Might just be me (PC/Firefox 3.0/Quicktime 7.5) but it stops about 1/3 of the way through every time....

Jim, I think the problem in the equation is the 'PC' part!

:p

And so the war begins!!

I hope my wife never looks on this forum with all her prejudice feelings about bassplayers.... (And yes, I've tried to explain to her that fingerstyle means somethings completely different...)

Hey there James, Themoo & company,

I have 2 songs from the period of my being part of a Level 42 tribute band between 1988 & 1994. Before the bands split-up we had started composing material in the Level 42 vain while trying to retain our own identity. Both songs were recorded in a professional studio & sound great.

I could transfer the master tape on to a CD & send it to England " Statii album HQ " for you to listen & decide if you want to use one or both songs for the album. These songs will never otherwise be published & the bass lines are very funky & intersesting with a solid groove plus an exellent band performance. The bass used is my Status Series 2, 4 string, s/n 483.

Let me know if this is possible, if so, you can e-mail me the " Statii album HQ " address & I will send the songs by mail to you.

Song # 1 is called = CHECK IT OUT.
Song # 2 is called = THIS IS THE GROOVE.
Both songs are a little over 6 minutes each.

Thank's

Don.

Ha! Youbetchya!

As Todd says, I think I did a bit of a Tammy Wynette and 'picked a fine time'! Summer!! I know a few people not around right now especially André who will give us a better platform to do this!

I think I have a mountain of work to make my track sound good..... 'acceptable quality'! Maybe we should start there??

Don

I think I speak for many people when I say we'd love to hear them!!

How are you with computers? The easiest way would be to put the tracks onto CD. Then drop them into your iTunes library, drag them onto your desktop and pop them into an E-mail to me!!

Let me know what you think. There is another way for you to pop them onto my iDisk! But I'll save that one!

Themoo, the quality of your song is just fine, I am listening to it in my car all the time (really good stuff!). Would it be a hassle if MP3's are just sent to you? Or who should be the gate keeper? There are probably many here with good idea's but do not have access to quality recording gear (that would be me). I was making some great progress last night until I broke yet another G-string, second one since I recieved the bass, gonna have to take a close look at the saddle.
James, are you able to work with files from Mixcraft?

I think we should wait until André gets back from holidays!!

Then he can come up with a plan for all these musical ideas.

I am back ;) I was just buying time so i can come up with a song too :D

We can easily put together a virtual CD by adding a small mp3 player to this site. Give me a couple of days and I'll come up with something !
