odd that I dropped onto this thread after a long time away. Looking at the Alembics... I went to see Stanley Clarke the other night at Ronnie Scotts. He was as you'd expect him to be, amazing.
He played mostly double bass but he did a few performances on the Alembics. They sounded incredible and of course he slapped the hell out of them!

I bought one of your Status S2's years ago (the one with the DI socket & no jack)
What are you up to these days? I recently bought a Sei flamboyant 4 string bass myself & just stumbled on
this thread, never knew you also had 2 of them! Great taste!
