That does not seem legit. Did a king bass ever have the old headless bridge?

OMG!
Neck and bridge look legit but the body?

Hahaha, not a bad job for hacking an old S1 for parts. I'd stick with the real thing.

Morning All,
Interesting... Think I'll get in touch with ebay and let them know it's not a Status Bass.
The worst part is that he called me "Bob" !
Pip-pip, Rob.

There is not excuse for the misdeed to call this instrument a Status "King-Bass", but actually the seller is pointing out very clearly in the description that the parts for the instrument were taken from an old S1 and he/she had a bass builder to design a new body in the style of the Status King-Bass.
Well, not very smart to offer an instrument on Ebay UK with a German description.

As a matter of fact, the full description of the poor thing is quite honest… but the use of the words "Status Bass" and "King Bass" is rather questionable. And definitely illegal - even by eBay standards.
Maybe "Statenstein" or "FrankenS1" would be more appropriate names for this
EDIT : Glückwunsch Uli - you beat me at it by a minute

That's exactly the point, like Denis states, call it FrankenStatikus LOL, or what ever you can come up with, but the headline is totally misleading even if he gives explanations (in German) and makes it available to EU countries.
He just needs to modify the title. I've seen this happening with Alembic a million times.

I'm calling Alembic immediately
