If you ask me: S2, 34.75", 19mm string spacing, P/J pickups (with the P reversed), and - stay with 4 strings. And... oh... let Rob install a Kahler tremolo. Ah... yes... I would also suggest: play with a plectrum. You get the picture.
No matter what your decision will be - a new Status is one of the best decisions one can make in a musician's life. 
Ah yes... : the most important thing!
When you get your bass: Do not play right away!
The first thing to do: take pictures of the instrument and post them in the forum! (Don't forget the backside of the bass!)
