I use roundwound. Have tried halfs, but never flat (just never had any to try. I found the halfwound ones to be a bit more 'percussive' with less sustain - though they sounded bright enough at the start. I'd stick to rounds (atleast until i try some flatwounds or nylon wrapped strings). Big downside - they chew the fretboard up quite a lot
