OK, an idea has been talked about and maybe we should now discuss it here. How about we do a Status bass album. The album will have let's say 10 tracks on it and anyone can submit a track. We all vote and the top 10 get on the album! Might be a giggle and I'm sure we'll hear some good tracks from the talent on the forum Thoughts??

Great idea Moo! i'll see what i can dig up from my hard drive! Should be a ton of talent and ideas from the forum members here. I can do some basic mastering in my studio, so would be happy to collate the tracks and produce the album. would be nice to have notes on what Statii were used for which tracks too. Then there would be the tour to organise, promotion, tv slots.......GrinGrinGrin

Hmmm, me too! And the fact that I don't currently own a Status...Angry Hey, maybe I could borrow one of moo's?? Grin Great idea anyway moo. Would be the Statii forum's version of the famous Green Album from Trace Elliott many moons ago...with no famous faces on it!

Talent? subjective; Its actually about how your Status inspires you to be creative, not about technical ability. I know for a fact there is some hidden creativity here ( THEMOO!!! ), so keep in mind, its not a contest, its more of a showcase for us bass players who happen to love Status basses. Don't be shy, we are always much more critical of our own idea's!

If my band lets me I'll donate a song from our new album into the competition (once it's mastered next week). All tracks done on Status basses, all but one on the Retroactive, the other on my Groove 5 Smile

All fantastic news... As Todd says it's not a competition BUT we'll just have the 10 nicest tracks. Even if you have an idea but can't play it very well you may want to get someone like James or Max (SilentFly) to play it for you... No egos here, just the love of bass & Status! Smile

OK... I'll be the first monkey to submit a track! This was something I did for a girl I met a year or so ago (maybe more) and it's all just first take ideas stapled together. Would love to do it properly with James in a decent studio... Anyway, hope you enjoy.
