I got that on mine from time to time, does it come through the pickups or it it just acoustic?

Mine was purely acoustic, and I think was the ball bearings in the bend-well rattling.

Could be a loose truss rod?

That would affect the relief too which may add to any buzz.

Just a thought!

I had this problem recently with the E string on my Kingbass. Buzz came through acoustically and amplified. Once I changed the strings the problem went away so I assumed it was a faulty string.

Could be worth changing the strings and seeing what happens, it worked for me!

If it isn't that it is obviously a conflict between your playing style and your basses. You should therefore sell all your basses at knock down prices to the other members of this forum. ;)

oh dear oh dear oh dear!!!

I try to be sensible and look what happens... We go from helpful comments about "could be your truss rod" to "I'll have your collection off you for 50 quid"!!

I'm appalled... and one of you a moderator.

Anyway, it has happened with several sets of strings (while i'm flush it's nice to change strings every week or so). I think it sounds like the ball bearings in the head piece... will investigate further.

In the mean time, I now have 2 headed Status, neither of which are '50 quid'!!

Bad bad Statii members! :@
