I'm not familiar enough with the early Status range, but from what I can tell it's either a S3000, An Energy or an Empathy.

I'm sure someone here will narrow that down for you, S3000 or Energy maybe £400-500? Empathy probably a bit more. Moo or Andre are the ones who will know best :D
Status S2 5 String Fretless 'Moo-wood'
Status S1000 rebuild
Fender Strat - Fretted
Shadow Superstrat Guitar - Fretless
Ibanez RG Electric of some sort
Avalon As-101CE Electro-Acoustic Guitar

I've owned 5 Statii so far, with 2 at present....

S4000 is the first what I thought (because of the black hardware), but that depends on the materials used for the body. Do you know if it's wood or some sort of resin?

It's not an Empathy if that helps at all.

I would be very confident in saying that it's a Series 4000. The Series 3000 was offered in a natural hand waxed wood body only with several choices of wood. It is also not an Empathy.

As for pricing, if it's in perfect condition I would pay no more than £450, £400 for average and £350 or less for below average.

Yup..... Series 4000

Hi!

Please take a look at this one:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300866068981

Aside from being clearly overpriced as per the value quotes above, from aknowledged members, there is a very serious structural issue in the body.

Given its condition, how much may it be worth?
Are there any chances of repair, for this unknown composite, moulded body?

Thanks, cheers, JPB

I've got one here, it's all resin/graphite (not sure), double 9V batteries, very powerful sound on full volume, serial number 268. My mate has one that looks identical but with a wooden body (S3000?) and really nice woven graphite neck, serial number 160. I bought this for just over £500 in 2006. So is this an S4000?

If its a resin body, then yes its an S4000. I have a red one, heavy but sounds great. Just get a wiiiiide strap for it Shock)

Thanks Garbo, it was originally advertised as a hybrid B1/S2 (B2.S1) or something like that but could never get it confirmed. My mates got a blue one with wooden body and bolt on graphite neck so I can now tell him his is an S3000. ;) Nice!

Looking at the picture that looks like a neck through. S4000 has a bolt on.

You are right there Bassbus, just compared it with my S4000 and it is missing the bit of graphite from the neck that extends into the body
