Anyone know if the Status Jazz and P bass necks will fit Mexican built Fenders?

Or do I really need to find a USA body?

Hi Paul,
I am not 100% sure but to my knowledge all 20 fret Fender (US, Japan and Mexico) neck heels have the same dimension ...

Pocket dimensions:
Depth: 5/8"
Length: 3-7/8"
Width: 2-1/2"

There is an exception with an older Tele neck design which had a squared box. For sure all other Fenders with 21 (Deluxe, Custom Shop) or 24 frets will not fit ;).

I have refitted my Fender Geddy Lee - built in Japan - with a Status neck and it worked perfectly. Only a bit of painting in the pocket needed to be sanded.

As you have to drill the fixing holes by yourself there should be also no issue ... but be careful with the length of the neck fixing screws - I had to use the longer version with the 40 mm thread because of the body thickness.

Hope this helps a bit ...
