I got this one from a friend and I have a few questions about it.

It has the serial 4741. Early 90's ?
Is this a Energy Artist?
Price paid is 180 Eur. Good price?
It came with a pick guard. Is it original or something home made?
Are the E and A tuners suppose to be mounted like this? They seem to be a bit slant...
Did it came with lacquer or was it bare oiled wood original?

When I got it it had missing knobs and the plastic pins on the pots were all broken. The electronic did not work either.

Also it had a glossy lacquer that was really badly done.

So I changed all pots and repaired the electronics. Big thanks to this forum, where I found the info I needed!

Then I made the finnish semi gloss with 800 paper...

It sounds super good and I really like the ergonomics and the neck.
This is a keeper...

Nice bass. I think even with the work you have done on it €180 seems very good value indeed. Is it a bolt on neck?

I would imagine the scratch plate was an after thought but you never know. Finish on these basses I think was usually satin lacquer. Don't know about the tuners, that was maybe something the original owner asked for. They don't look as if they have been moved.

Yes it is a bolt on. Previous owner covered the bolts with duct tape ()
