Any 6 Strings for sale in UK? I fancy the Blue S2 Classic on the Status website but it is a bit too expensive!

I think we in the UK would have to pay the original VAT (20% tax) to re-import a Bass. Still looking for UK one.

Not if it is from a country within the EU. Anything outside that yes, VAT plus customs and handling charges.

Ha so if a "friend" in an EU state orders one a new bass we could save 20%? Might be a way forward? Or is there a time after export rule?

When you are in an EU country and ordering an item from another country within the EU you will pay the quoted price plus shipping. All taxes are included in that price. You can't avoid the VAT whatever way you do it.

I don't think you would have to pay any more than the final price on the bass in Luc's post. Someone can correct me if I am wrong.

Yeah the price on the Status site says UK & EU so VAT has been paid . The e-bay site confirms this for EU goods. So sorry my mistake
