Hi all , new member and relatively new status owner

I'd love it if anyone could share a little insight into what I've picked up , i fell in love with it and my better half treated me as a birthday gift
I've got essentially a status vintage PP with no rear jazz pick up, it looks like this from the sold out stock basses section.

Im assuming its a 4 string vintage P .. excuse the sneaky telecaster

so far i've found it a little bright for what im used to , this is my first graphite necked instrument , is this normal usually i dont have a problem with rounds but im going to
have to put flats on this because got more zing than i can handle .

Also im looking for an insurance value ... ive no idea of what was paid for it second hand as my other half wont tell me .

Hi synthaside:-

You may want to try half-wound strings (the Status Hotwire ones are great) if rounds are too "Zingy" for you, unless you particularly want the Flatwound sound?

Super nice machine.
I have Chromes on a couple of my Statii.
Enjoy.
