Hello all,
I am currently deciding on options for a Graphite Kingbass 4 string, I am used to playing 34" or 35" scale basses. I realize the Kingbass is specialized to a certain degree (which is why I want one) but was wondering if anyone had opinions on the "Bendwell" feature which brings the headless into the 32" scale. I have never played short scale bass and I am curious if it has an adverse affect on low frequency, fatness, feel etc.
Thanks for your opinions if any,
Cheers,
Simon
Hi Simon and welcome!
I play a 32" scale Kingbass 4 str. with BW and a MK-II 5 str. long scale basses, both headless.
Being able to compare both scale lengths I can not find any lacking in the lows referring to the 32" scale KB. The feel is excellent, I have also 16.5mm string spacing on the KB and it makes playing easier for me. That is obviously a matter of personal taste and I believe there are other guys on the forum here who can share their experiences!
Cheers,
Stefano
