Saw this handy little thing in this months issue of bass player...I dont know much about the recording side of bass but will this thing actually do a good job, or is it likely to suck?
For about 30 quid seems a very cheap solution!

I totally agree with funkybassman. Moreover, last time I saw this interface, there were no ASIO driver. Forget it.

For low budgets (45£ @Thomann) there is for example the M-Audio JamLab which seems to be quite good.

Hmmm I'm not convinced by this either..... you can buy better and more flexible input devices from people such as Behringer, M-Audio etc.... I wouldn't want to place my work through this cable. Not to say it wouldn't have it's uses though!!

I've found the EMU 0404 to be quite a good 'budget' recording card.
Status S2 5 String Fretless 'Moo-wood'
Status S1000 rebuild
Fender Strat - Fretted
Shadow Superstrat Guitar - Fretless
Ibanez RG Electric of some sort
Avalon As-101CE Electro-Acoustic Guitar

I've owned 5 Statii so far, with 2 at present....

Thanks for the tips guys, good job I wasn't too hasty about it!
What I'm looking for is something that will let me record just bass on my computer, as a kinda practice tool.
Any tips and tricks would be appreciated
