Im selling my five string status bass
Ive used it in the studio only (as new)

I dont want no trades need the cash only.

two days and it hits the ebay!!....

Great mix of tones available through the pick-up blends. Mid-range boost/flat/cut switch for that extra punch through.

In absolute MINT condition - not a scratch, ding or anything.

Full spec:

S2 Classic Bolt-On 5-String Headless Bass Guitar

Neck - Woven Carbon Graphite, 5 String, Fretted, Black Phenolic Fingerboard, Standard String Spacing

Body - Figured Flame Maple facings, Mahogany Back, Walnut Central Tone Block

Pickups - 2 x Soap Bar

Hardware -Black

That looks familiar - oh, it's from my Ebay listing - I typed it about 5 days ago!

Still got 2 days to go but fingers crossed.

I kind of need to sell it for the £ but then am hoping no-one bids for it at the same time.

im the same i just did some studio work with it and i havent had results like this before - certainly very distinctive

Don't be put off by bolt ons, they have a very slightly more complex sound than a neck thru and you may find you prefer it. You'd probably have trouble telling the difference unless you listened to them back to back.

There's no difference accessing the upper frets either, so it really comes down to the glossy finish on the neck thru or the satin finish on the body of the bolt on. Maybe you'll end up wanting one of each!

specially with a graphite neck
ive always gone for the straight through with alembics
and i thought the jaydee was but thats glued in!
i used the status in the studio and i cant tell the difference between it and my through 4 string - apart from the B string!! ;)

im re-wiring a foster 6 string
which is going to take its place for now..
i might get a cheaper 4 string just to slap :)
