My theory is that these Retroglide basses are going to be Kingbasses with the new album artwork spraypainted onto them, in a similar style to the Princess bass.

Just a hunch.

Hmmmmmmm..... well I don't think it'll be slapping he's after on them.... maybe for songs that don't require Slap..... I watched one of the live DVD's of him playing that Goodfellow Jazz style bass..... you just can't seem to get the slap sound on those things.....

I remember seeing him years back at the Frankfurt Musik Messe playing a fender Jazz.... didn't sound great!!

I could be tempted by a 5 string retro fretless!!!!! best start saving i guess....

The "glide" really sounds fretless, indeed.

You're kidding?? The GB slap sound was great!
In fact...

*dons flameproof underwear*

...I prefer it to his current Kingbass sound...

I'm not some sort of drug-taking alcoholic git.
I'm just a git.

In a selfish way I kinda hope its just a variation on the standard KingBass...I only bought my Black Beauty 2months ago!
A fretless would be great, or out of the blue, MK might have converted to double bass and it'l be an electric upright :)
Heres hoping to that!

Having seen him live with 2 different Kingbasses I have to say they sound amazing. B)

Haven't heard a GB in action so I don't consider myself able to judge which is better. Would have to be bl**dy good to be better than the KingBass though.
