I was listening to the recent radio interview with MK and he was talking about the "Retroglide" bass which is to coincide with the new album!

Is this true funkateers?:o

Nice - 25th aniversary, and the RAH gig is his birthday too :O

I may wait to see what these "retroglides" are like before making any rash decisions :)

No I didn't realize it was Level 42's 25th year. I must say I'm looking forward to seeing what Rob came up with. :)

using the word Retro seems to suggest it'll look something like one of these ..

I don't think the Fender-style design of those retros is suitable to MK's way of holding his basses.

Well, I did not know there was one. :D

I was obviously wrong :

Yes, but it's a fender-style design, so I was completely wrong when saying that these kind of design may not be suitable for his playing style (with a high position)

That Fender style bass looks a bit odd in his hands, sort of unnatural and out of place in my opinion. The Retros are ok I guess, but every monkey's uncle makes a Fender look-a-like these days.

I do hope Rob has cooked up something along the lines of the King Bass as Mr. Moo suspects may be the case.:D

I've heard nothing but bad news about the Fender Jazz sig bass... Seems they have a nasty habit of falling apart :O

I just can't picture him going from a KingBass to a Jazz style bass. The KingBass is supposed to be everyting he wanted in a bass so why would he go back to a design that is so different?

so different and yet so common.... I can't picture it either.
