Hi All,

I posted a request for photos of this bass on the Yahoo group but am hoping to get a better response here.

Mike Brooks and 'Funky Hobbit' have both e-mailed me to say that they once owned 'Custard Colin', a one-off canary yellow Series 2000 but they don't have photos immediately to hand. Are you the current owner or do you have any photos you can e-mail?

The reason: possible creation of a "Custard Kingbass".

Thanks

I'm very glad to say that my Status is not canary yellow. :o

To be honest a canary yellow S2000 or Kingbass would have me looking for a refinisher. ;)

I wonder why this bass is a "one-off"?

I second the refinsher search....kidding of course.... really...

Well Mike Brooks came good and provided some pics of Custard Colin. So here it is....

Dawn believes that this was part of a set made for the 'Levis' promotion which also included the 'FPPR' basses.

My first car was an Escort Mark 1 in that same colour. Great car and as it was my first it holds special memories.

Nostalgia isn't what it used to be!

My first car was a Fiat Ritmo in the, back then, traditional ORANGE, with ORANGE seatings and all, so this custard bass isn't that ugly. In fact, I really like it. This is a UNIQUE status!!! And what is wrong in being special and one-of-a-kind?!
