Hi, for some time I played a Trace Elliot T-Bass 4, which in fact was build by Status:

Indeed! Check out the 10th Anniversary edition on the Status Graphite website!
Great basses. I picked one up this past July and find it to be an excellent version of a Jazz bass. Mine turned out to be a very early version with a one piece vs the later three piece neck. Plays wonderfully and sounds huge!
