I'm sure that nobody really needs me to post this, as I guess that you all check eBay as regualrly as I do, but (just in case) here's a rather nice looking 1986 Series II. Unusual facing wood, original spec. and great condition (with fight case).

I don't really need two, so I'm not "in the race", but one of you might want to be .... :)

How you know tha', Moo? :|

Is it ex-Moo stock?

So, how much should one of those cost then? It's about the same age and condition as mine, so I rather hoped that it might be worth 4 figures by now :D.

no not one of mine!!

I just asked the seller the s/n.

The value of these basses is driven by what the market will pay for them on average. I haven't paid more than £800 for a Series II regardless of age (pre 2000).

But i guess someone might pop along who will pay £1,000 for it.

Who knows!

Hmm,. bodes well for the "Moo Bargain Bassment Status Bass Clearance Sale".

Just let me know when you need to put no. 36 out to pasture (in favour of Mrs. Moo III) and I'll be only to happy to waft a bunch of scrumpled old tenners under your nose! :D

Seriously though, don't you think it's a bit of a shame that these magnificently designed and made basses, go for the same money as a bent old 70's P Bass?

I do (even though I love my "bent old 70's P Bass" more than most things in my collection). ;)
