Status Jaguar Bass....

Here is my latest creation. It's a loaded American Standard Jaguar bass body with the addition of a Status jazz neck with Gotoh Resolite tuners.

I had to do a little more work on the heal of the neck pocket for this one but it was well worth it. Sounds great, looks a little different from the average p or j bass. Initial impression was that the bass is very, very punchy. Still getting to grips with the controls.

Looks cool. Aren't the Jags short scale though? Just thought the Status neck might be a touch too long. Still if it was I suppose you could just move the bridge back a bit!

No, the new American Standard Jaguar isn't short scale. I don't think the MIJ Jaguar is either. But you are correct that some of them are like the one with the reverse headstock. I just had to round the corners a little in the pocket for a snug fit.

Jag shape is not my favourite, at all, but you're right: something different from Js or Ps.
