Custom Headless Basses

Just thought that some of you might like to see some different headless basses that don't pop up very often. They're built by David King in Portland, Oregon. No two are alike as every component is specified by the buyer and David builds all of his own hardware in-house, unless the buyer specifies otherwise. He also manufactures killer all wood knobs for most of the custom luthiers in the US.

Snap! I was revisiting my admiration of David King's work just last night. Been a long time fan of his approach to bass design. The Ophidian on his front page is incredible (although I'd prefer to see it without the head stock). http://www.kingbass.com/bassdesc/ophi...idian.html
I played that bass at the NAMM Show in Anaheim........ as odd as it looks it feels like you're playing a solid bass. I agree that it would be better headless.
