Title says it all. I'm on the hunt for an ebony fingerboard fretless. Must be 5-string and must be unlined. (I know if you suggest a lined one I'll dither and then eventually say no. Unobtrusive dots a la F-bass or edge markings that stray onto the front of the fingerboard would be cool though).

Really want to trade for a bass (or basses) I've already got with appropriate cash adjustments. They are a Status Eclipse Ltd 5 (fretted), a Hohner (steinberger copy) fretted 5, and just possibly a Status Electro (or electro-1 to be more specific) fretless 5, unlined, chambered. DETAILS HERE

Various things that would be a bonus.

1) Hard case, or body shape for which a hardcase would be easily availaible.

2) Both active and passive tone controls

3) Master Vol / Blend rather than Vol/Vol

4) 35" neck

5) not too horrendously far from London (UK), making it relatively easy for me to get to you.
