Muchas gracias everybody, I think this time I really hit the jackpot. I sold a couple of other graphite necked basses to afford this and might probably sell something else (nope, NOT the S2000, unless...) to afford the fixing expenses but from what I can understand by playing it, it will be worth. It drags you to play it, it's really inspiring.

A while back I posted a link for an Alembic SI from '78 with a graphite neck, stating: I'm fine with S2000, so you go for it…well I lied
Here is my great find, from the heart of Texas, buried under a bed for about 15 years, not loved because of size, ergonomic string spacing etc, but kept because of its coolness, my new (old) Alembic SII Graphite neck, only about 50 made from '76 to circa '87. Will need some work to fix electronic, frets and some minor cosmetic (this baby was loved and used quite a bit by some). I will ship it to mother factory as soon as I have the funds, to be restored and be technically perfect. Will leave most of the scars on it otherwise I will not be able to touch anymore if completely refinished it

Not used anymore new strings fitted and strap locks fitted professionally resprayed to replicate Claptons Crash 1 in Hiscox case Plays and sounds superb with straight neck and low action BARGAIN !
