I noticed I posted this and another for sale thread in the wrong forum - will move it over to the right forum now...

Now it is under reconstruction, the pair of old J set EMGs exchange to a brand new JAXs and the old vol/bal/treble/bass active electronics replaces by a new semi active individual vol/tone circuit to each pickups. So it will be a neck vol/bridge vol and neck tone/bridge tone. Next week I will get it back.

Thanks Danny, yes it's a lovely understated finish, shame Status don't do the necks for these (see earlier post) but the neck is pretty comfortable as it is and yes plenty of oommpff !!

SGH42, that's real nice. I have put a graphite neck on my 4 string P and I must admit it was worth it.So was the SD 1/4 pounders. I also upgraded the pickups in my Fender 5 string to status ones and again, well worth it. Your's looks to have big pole pieces so I bet it has some oommpff??

I'm guessing it might have more to do with the sound than hitting the pickups with the strings.IMO

Talking of which. I've just seen a picture of Marks Jazz basses in an old copy of Guitar & Bass magazine. Why did he put tape over both of the bridge pick ups ???

But Mark King's Jazz Bass was blue ???
