Re: energy wooden neck
Do you have any pictures? Energy's have had many guises over the years. A picture might help dating.

EDIT: having looked at the database Andre's old Energy was 2293 in 1996, if that helps.

Re: Series 4000 Serial Number
A picture of the aforementioned S4000. An absolute joy to play, still needs one or two slight tweaks but pretty much fine.

Re: Series 4000 Serial Number
Advice much appreciated, I think I can see something that could be a serial number, but I'll need to dismantle the bridge to see exactly what it is. Currently having a bit of trouble with photos atm, but I will attempt to get one or two pics on the forum at some point in the near future. Also, if and when I obtain the serial number, how would I go about finding out more about the bass, when it was made etc? Would Status provide that info or would I have to ask around here?

Re: Series 4000 Serial Number
Sometimes there was a number stamped into the side of the bridge. Any chance of a pic or two?

Re: Series 4000 Serial Number
Hello all, first post on the forum.

I've recently become the proud owner of a Status Graphite S4000 bass, and having browsed this forum for some time, I decided to check what the serial number was. However, there doesn't appear to be a number stamped onto the string retainer at the "head" end. Is there any other location where the serial number might be visible?

Cheers.

Re: kingbass close string spacings
I would guess May 2000, 05=May, 0=2000

Re: S2 serial number - where?
I also bought a Status from James a few years ago and I had the same experience. He's a monster.
Next time I'll include his hands in the deal Angry

Re: S2 serial number - where?
Yeah - that's the one. Great playing and a fantastic song there. It doesn't sound that good at all with my fingers!

Re: S2 serial number - where?
I'm 100% sure it's a known bass here - sandy coloured with the GB light system fitted. James Durand has played it on one of his videos.

Re: S2 serial number - where?
If you post a picture it would take us about a millisecond to identify the bass!

Do You mean an S2 Classic OR a Series II???

A good question. I have no idea actually. I was told it was an S2 and I didn't really think about it.

I'll have another look for a number when I get home from work, but I'm sure there isn't one there!

If you can't find a S/N then I would imagine that it's a Series II that's had a replacement top string retainer. Therefore no s/n stamped into it!
