The stork made a graceful landing today, and left me with a special treat. Another amazing build from our Guru in Colchester.
The top is Bocote wood, from Central America. I think it is basically a high contrast rosewood of sorts. It reminds me of a piece of cinnamon toast.
The flat-wounds play great, and any tone is doable.
Rob suggested the top configuration, where is goes over the through neck. He did a beautiful job.
I asked for the custom fingerboard dots, which turned out great as well.
...and a distant cousin to keep her company.
I'm set.
...and for those who appreciate backsides.
