I am a big fan of Toto and Mike Porcaro.
Am I right about the fact that someone on this forum is the proud owner of a Status Bass that use to belong to Mike ?
Please let me see some information/specification/pics of this Bass (I always thought that is was an S-2 he used in the "I'll be over you" video, but is seemed to be an S-2000) and let me know if it is for sale.

Hi Groovemaster, indeed I am the ex-proud owner of one of his Status basses (he had several I believe).
Meanwhile it has recently gone to a good home with
John on this forum
I am sure John can give you more info!

Hi, this is John and yes: I own the #84 Series 2000, previously owned by Mike Porcaro from TOTO.
I just bought it from André Simha and it's really a beauty: to see and to play!
Drop me a line on john.moes@hetnet.nl

I own Mike P's Series 2000 Fretless #006. It's in excellent condition and it's authenticity has been verified by Rob Green. The Hiscox case has an original sticker from Bearsville Studios in Woodstock, NY from the days that he did studio work with Toto and many others. If your interested, make an offer.

This is one of my favorite pics. Taken at the winter NAMM show in Anaheim, CA
Just over my shoulder is Dave LaRue from Satriani's band, and Tony Levin!
It looks like they are all lined up to get pics with ME!

Great shot Rik, but you know what guitarists are like - Good to have you on the forum and hope you will enjoy your new baby when you get her.
I think I need a Streamline too ... and very soon

Oh, indeed I do!
How's this then?
All better?
I've bumped into Tony so many times now, that when he sees me, he just smiles and waves!

Hi Rik,
Than we have more in common than only Status
I am quite familiar with the guys at Toto, these pics are from an outdoor concert in Trier (Germany) in July 2006
I am on Luke's right (the ugly guy wearing the Toto-shirt), on the left Morris, the guitar-player of our band Fahrenheit (www.fahrenheitband.nl).
Cheers,
Paul

Here's another pic from that same gig, but now with Simon (drummers are very related to bass-players, so no comment on that Andre)
And noooooooo.......none of us are gay, it was late and we finished a bottle of Jack that night
Unfortunately I don't have a pic with Mike, I know the guys from Toto quite some years, but I never managed to have a picture of both of us
These days he still seems to suffer/recover from his thumb-enjury and Lee Sklar replaces him during the 2007/2008 "Falling in Between" World tour

Nice one, Paul!
I am familiar with Steve via the Ernie Ball company parties and NAMM....
Not really pals. But he knows my name and says hello when he sees me!
HEHEHEHEHEHEH!!!
As for Tony Levin, he thinks I am stalking him!

Andre had asked me to post a couple of pics of my Series 2000 Fretless (#06) that was owned by Mike Pocaro. It MAY be for sale if anyone is seriously interested. So, hopefully here they are:
