What is the best recording program in your guys eyes? I have recorded some stuff with Cubase SX3, and it's a good and simple program. Now i got Adobe Audition...i think it's better for mixing and mastering, though. What programs do you guys use, to record your Bass? ;-)

Working with Macs I use several programs; Garageband, Logic and ProTools. All three are a pleasure to play with.

I suggest Ableton Live. It is comparatively easy to use and the user interface is brilliant. It has an excellent integration between loops management and the classical, more linear, multi-track recording. It also allows the easy integration between external midi controller (e.g. midi foot controller) and the loop management. It runs on PC/Windows and Apple/MacOS.

In Hollands biggest (and most famous) studio in Hilversum the taperecorder were used for something very different.... the straws were lying besides the spools... The recordings were made in Pro Tools by the way....

I've just got the new Logic Studio Pro. Yumma yumma yumma! Andre, when you come across next you should bring your Mac for an upgrade! Grin P.S. People do use Windoze machines... I know this because it's the only reason we have to have Technical Support... Apple's just work!!!

Yeah I'm being very gentle with Leopard! There are some lovely new features BUT I'm disappointed with Mail... I was hoping that would have some more basic WP features. How about Adobe Creative Suite 3? Here if you want it! Grin

Hmmm I have to say I use two mediums. A digital KorgD16 track and Logic 8. Is one better than the other? Not really they both do certain things really well and when you sync the two it makes for a very usable and powerful set up. For simplistic straight plug in and record then the D16 but for any editing and hear what you see then Logic.
