Hi Guys

Well just back from another stonking gig.... It seems Mr King is still having problems with his set-up. As with the gig on Tuesday at Southend, he kept wandering over to his bass rig and checking his settings... this happened roughly 8 or 9 times!!!!!!

I noted that the EQ setting had severely changed again... I know that we all change eq settings slightly from venue to venue... but these setting seemed somewhat drastic with most of the graphic sliders boosted to very nearly maximum...

Again he used the Retroglide bass for most of the gig apart from the encore when he switched back to the Black Beauty... and again... massive difference in sound.

One thing I did notice about the two basses and his playing style... when playing finger style with the Retoglide bass... he played on the Bridge pick-up for the majority... but on the black beauty he played more on the Neck pick-up...

Be interesting to see what happens on Friday!

I noticed at Gateshead that he kept walking to his rig....however, after seeing one of the crew strapping something to the side of the top rack case and watching Mark chewing after walking away from it, I think he has some sort of gel sachets or something attached with elastic bands and uses these for refreshment.

I did joke to my mate that he may have a 'line' of something laid out along the side of the rack;)

If he keeps having problems with the Retroglide, you would wonder why he keeps using it for the majority of the shows...

MisterPink, any good bass solos so far from the gigs youve seen?

....He hasn't really gone down that route much on the shows i've seen... though he does the solo in RITF and makes his bass sound like a Flute... some sort of Hamonisation I presume which is pretty cool... other than that lots of slppy solo bits as usual...

Maybe something special on Friday, it's his birthday isn't it?

Yes.... and It's my Birthday today so make sure all you guys bring me lots of prezzy's tomorrow... I would really like a 5 string Black Beauty with red LED's to match my 4 string if thats not too much to ask!!!!
