How low can you set your action on the graphite necks (i have a rosewood status). really important that I find out. can you get them as low as 2mm from the string to the 24th fret? if sombody could try this it would be great!!! how LOW gan you get them??

0,8 mms on my B2 at the 24th fret.
Measured distance top of the fret - underside of the string

thats what im talkin about, and it plays cleanly right across the fingerboard? can anyone beat this? thanks for the reply. very much appreciated!

Both my Stealth 2 headless and my Buzzard feature actions as follows at the 24th fret (as measured by my feeler gauges):-
E - 0.8mm
A - 0.7mm
D - 0.6mm
G - 0.5mm

I've had them 0.1mm lower than this in the past without rattling, but the sound becomes a little too percussive for my liking (the bridge saddles are on the base plate too at that point).

They play cleanly as they are now, no squeaks, rattles etc but they do demand a light touch. There would be absolutely no point thrashing them to death though (that's not my style anyway), they'd sound horrible.

Even my Buzzard 8-string has a low action, but measuring it with all those strings in the way isn't an easy task!

And Alembic wonder why I ceaselessly bitch about the moving neck on my Dragon's Wing!

Ok THATS low!! what gauge strings are ye using? but all these examples are on completley graphite basses, is it possible to get the same action on bolt-on necks? i was lookin at this bass http://www.status-graphite.com/status/carts3/stock/jan2006/s2bon4ashvsb2.htm thanks for everyones response

My strings are Status Hotwires - roundwound roundcore - 35-55-75-95
