Rechargeable Batteries

Does anyone have any experience of using rechargeable batteries in their basses? If so, I'd love to know how you get on with them as I'm considering using them for both the active electronics and the LEDs on my basses.

One thing that concerns me most is that rechargeables discharge just sitting around doing nothing. Do you end-up charging and changing batteries all the time?

Cheers,

Rog

I would never ever use them in basses... find them to unreliable. The discharge varies so much from brand to brand...

I use rechargables for practices and put in Duracells for gigs, saves on money but you still have the reliability when it actually matters.

I think there was an issue with some battery makes about the length of them. Some were too short and didn't fit properly against the contacts in the battery box. This caused intermittent signals from the pre-amp. Never a good thing. Duracells are fine though so that would be a good make to check against.
