Is this thing on? Why can't I see anyone? oh there you are.

Hi, just a quick introduction. My name's Andy and I'm Welsh boy in Tokyo.
Gosh that feels better.

Anyway I'm hoping to become a Status owner sooner rather than later but in the meantime I will be asking all the usual questions such as S2 or Kingbass? 34" or 32"? 19 or 16.5? 5 string or 6?

You get the picture.

Tata for now.

Superb.

Welcome Andy and please fire away with your questions. Many people on this forum and very knowledgable! Just don't listen to anything the Canadian says... It's a TRAP!

If you ask me:
S2, 34.75", 19mm string spacing, P/J pickups (with the P reversed),
and - stay with 4 strings.
And... oh... let Rob install a Kahler tremolo.
Ah... yes... I would also suggest: play with a plectrum.

You get the picture. :D

No matter what your decision will be - a new Status is one of the best decisions one can make in a musician's life. :)

Ah yes... : the most important thing!
When you get your bass: Do not play right away!:@
The first thing to do: take pictures of the instrument and post them in the forum! (Don't forget the backside of the bass!)

Welcome aboard.

Not to be a negative Nelly, but no matter how much you think you have your first order figured out, it will likely lead to a second. That's just the way the addiction starts. Your first Status will open your eyes to a new approach to what is possible in an instrument and all these options such as spacing and scale are 100% subjective.
One status bass is like one beer.
4 Asians, 2 Brits, 1 French and also some basses
