Hot summer; steaming amps - new poll today: What amplifiers do you all use?

Well, i don't have an amp. I have to use what ever is in the rehearsal studio! I been using a Trace Head, recently & it always sounds nicer than the Ashdown.

When I eventually get round to getting something I would quite like to have a go with a small Mark Bass Combo.

I'm currently between bands and between amps. Will be thinking about another band in the next few months and will have to think about amps again then.

I liked my Markbass which had an unbelievable power to weight ratio and a good sound. However I now fancy getting a tasty pre-amp and a seperate power amp. Not sure if I really fancy lugging it around though. Maybe something by Aguillar would fit the bill. Or I may just go for a Markbass 1x12 combo with an extension cab. The combo weighs only a little more than my practice amp and puts out 500 watts! :o

Also between bands (...) currently using my Ash MK500 head with a ABM410T cabinet, a little large for my playroom but full of punch (EQ not used)

I have a Hartke 350 head and Transporter 1x15 and 2x10 cabs. I use this rig at church every Sunday ( I kid you not ! ) I've had to learn to turn it down because the singers were moaning that it was too loud, congregation loved it though ! Lots of positive comments. Never had the bottle to turn on the LED's on the 5 string on the platform though, somehow don't think the pastor would think it's "groovy"
I play Status Eclipse 6 string with graphite neck and S2 4 and 5 stringers, also just bought a 2nd hand MTD kingston 5 string fretless. This will be transformed into an S2 5 string fretless once I've saved up the dosh ! :D

Still love my Trace Elliot GP11 - MK5 4x10 combo
and the little Ashdown after eight combo (keeps the neighbours happy):)

Until a few hours ago I used (and entered in the poll) a SWR 350x amp, but now I've swapped it for an Aguilar ac500 SC. I'm as happy as a child with my new toy. What a punch and power.

But here's the problem: Can I change my entry to Other? B)
