Does anyone use an integrated preamp in a Shark? What kind of active circuit could I put in it?

I fitted a Seymour Duncan STC-3M3 pre-amp into my Shark and it worked a treat and sounded great. This is the same pre-amp that ernie Ball fit in Stingrays. The Shark does need some routing under the scratchplate for the extra control pot, the circuit board and the battery and the scratch plate nees to have an additional hole drilled for the extra control pot. Trust me though, it is worth it! :D

Best source for the pre-amp I found was www.basspartsresource.com in the US. They sell them for $118.95 and I think worldwide shipping is about $5.95 or something silly.

Hope this helps.

Chris.
