KB2 with three pickup system

This is my new idea. The middle pickup is not a central hum cancelling pickup like on the T-Bass. This is the third pu. for the series wired mode, or work alone. It has a four position (that I didn't show on my picture, but something like on JD bass pu selector) rotate switch with four stops: series with bridge pu, off, on, series with neck pu.
The reason is the humbacker sound with a J-style pickup system (like on the Fender jaguar bass).
The other part of the electronic are same.

Take the head off and make the body smaller and more symmetrical. Oh shit, sorry - that's been done, hasn't it? lol

I know absolutely nothing about building basses but I know what I like…

I think this is where Rob should be taking the KingBass.

Darren, that is absolutely spot on!!!!

There is just the one slight improvement that you mentioned before that would capture the full ambiance of tone. The "outside" pickup, as you said, it would fully capture all aspects of the basses tone.
Too bad there is not enough room for one more pickup just below the tone controls.
