Dare I say this, but I have a vague recollection from the 80's of Craig Logan playing a Status with BROS. And no, I didn't buy their records!!!

you are correct. And he was often quoted as saying level 42 was his gave band.

And no, I also don't own any bros records.

I've got their first album, no shame in that! it's got a a couple of great tracks on it. ;)

And... do you remeber Nick Thorpe from Curiosity ****ed the Cat ?
He used to play on a headless Status (S II or S 2000) if I remember well.

Yes I do ,though I don't remember the melody nor Mark's bass line !

But I also remember a photo from the Level 42 fan club publication showing Mark King with the guys from Bros for the opening of Mark's café "Jodaflo"

"Kaja bloody googoo" :o no really, i've met Nick a couple of times and ended up buying his black Wal pro back in 1989. Trouble is he now has long blonde hair and wears a skirt, he looks like a proper Lezza. good bass player though!
