there are loads of great ne features and updates, but flextime is probly the biggest and best. Really good for tightening up performances, logic anylyses your audio, and allows you to quantise, or move notes, etc. It's really good for slowing down tracks that your trying to learn or slowing down a recording take for tricky runs etc.

Mainstage 2 is much better too.

I recorded my Status 4000 (over my Kingbass would you believe) on my bands tracks using Logic 8 last year, absolutely loved using it, and have heard that Logic 9 is unbelievable. I used Cakewalk Sonar for my vocals, not that thats any help lol :)

Hmmm I have to say I use two mediums. A digital KorgD16 track and Logic 8. Is one better than the other? Not really they both do certain things really well and when you sync the two it makes for a very usable and powerful set up. For simplistic straight plug in and record then the D16 but for any editing and hear what you see then Logic.

Hi MrMoo

Too late ... just upgraded to Leopard and Logic 8 :o:o:o

Logic 8 is wonderful, however ... Leopard needs an update lots of little bugs that are ... bugging me ;)

Hey, thanks for the offer though !!!

Yeah I'm being very gentle with Leopard!

There are some lovely new features BUT I'm disappointed with Mail... I was hoping that would have some more basic WP features.

I've just got the new Logic Studio Pro.

Yumma yumma yumma!

Andre, when you come across next you should bring your Mac for an upgrade!

:D

P.S. People do use Windoze machines... I know this because it's the only reason we have to have Technical Support... Apple's just work!!!

In Hollands biggest (and most famous) studio in Hilversum the taperecorder were used for something very different.... the straws were lying besides the spools...

The recordings were made in Pro Tools by the way....

What's wrong with a good old fashioned tape recorder? ;)

I suggest Ableton Live.

It is comparatively easy to use and the user interface is brilliant. It has an excellent integration between loops management and the classical, more linear, multi-track recording.

It also allows the easy integration between external midi controller (e.g. midi foot controller) and the loop management.

It runs on PC/Windows and Apple/MacOS.
